Intellectual Property Policy

1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to establish the standards governing the ownership, protection, and permitted use of intellectual property associated with the Institute’s educational programs and materials.

 

The Institute develops original course content and educational resources designed to support professional development in the early childhood education and home childcare sector. This policy ensures that these materials are protected and used appropriately.

2. Ownership of Intellectual Property

All educational materials developed and provided by the Institute remain the intellectual property of the Institute unless otherwise stated.


This includes, but is not limited to:


• course presentations and slide decks
• training videos and recorded instruction
• participant workbooks and guides
• downloadable templates and resources
• course assessments and quizzes
• course curriculum structures
• website content and educational materials


These materials are protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

3. Permitted Use

Participants enrolled in Institute training programs are granted limited access to course materials for personal educational purposes only.


Participants may:


• access course materials through the Institute learning platform
• download participant resources provided within the course
• use course knowledge to support their professional development


Participants may not reproduce or distribute Institute materials beyond personal educational use.

4. Prohibited Use

Participants may not:


• reproduce or distribute Institute course materials
• sell or share Institute training materials
• upload Institute materials to external platforms or websites
• modify Institute materials for commercial use
• present Institute training materials as their own work


Unauthorized use of Institute materials is strictly prohibited.

5. Instructor and Contributor Materials

Instructors or contributors who develop course content for the Institute acknowledge that instructional materials developed for Institute training programs may become part of the Institute’s educational curriculum.


Specific ownership or licensing terms may be outlined in instructor agreements where applicable.

6. Copyright Protection

All Institute materials are protected by copyright law and other applicable intellectual property protections.


Unauthorized use, duplication, or distribution of Institute materials may result in legal action where appropriate.

7. Reporting Intellectual Property Concerns

Individuals who believe Institute intellectual property has been used without authorization may contact the Institute administration for review.


The Institute will evaluate reported concerns and take appropriate action where necessary.

8. Policy Updates

The Institute may update this policy periodically to reflect operational changes or improvements to intellectual property protections.
